Given last year’s unprecedented popularity of our Women in Leadership Program Scholarships, we are delighted to announce we are doing it all again this year for International Women’s Day!
According to UN Women, “women’s economic empowerment is central to a gender equal world. When women are given equal opportunities to earn, learn and lead – entire communities thrive”.
Yes to that!
The UN Women’s theme for IWD 2024 is “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress”. The Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI) are proud to be working together with consumers, stakeholders and partners on our research and implementation projects year-round to improve women’s opportunities earn, learn and lead, including career opportunities which are critically linked to women’s wellbeing and health.
To celebrate IWD 2024, the NHMRC and partner funded Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership initiative and MCHRI are offering 15 women who are working with, or from, an underserved community the opportunity to attend the Monash University Women in Leadership Program at the significantly reduced rate of $500 (usual cost $1500).
This three-day program can be accessed flexibly throughout 2024, in our multiple recurrent online and in-person programs.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must work in an Australian health service or health/medical research education institution and be an Australian citizen
Women working with or from underserved communities are eligible to apply. This includes priority populations captured by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Culturally and linguistically diverse people
People experiencing homelessness
People with a disability
People living in regional and remote areas
Be available to commit to the three-day Women in Leadership Program during 2024
Be available to attend the three full days of the program
Agree to pay (or have their employer pay) the substantially reduced registration fee of $500. If this $500 tax deductible expense is a significant financial barrier, and you or your employer are unable to fund this, an exemption may be made on application. If you wish to be considered for an exemption on financial grounds, you will be asked to provide a justification in your application.
